Commentary: Missouri Senate – Hawley (R) vs McCaskill (D)

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MZ) has been Missouri’s US Senate representative since 2006. She is a former prosecutor and has been a prominent figure in Missouri politics since 1982 when she was first elected to the State Assembly. McCaskill is known as a senator willing to cross party lines and for being close to her constituents by holding many town hall meetings.

Commentary: Florida Senate – Scott (R) vs Nelson (D)

This race has to be considered the main event for the heavyweight championship. In the blue corner – Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) who has been in the Senate since 2000 and has represented the largest swing state for almost 20 years. In the red corner – Republican Governor, Rick Scott, who has won the gubernatorial election twice in Florida when he was expected to lose both times.
